Dice Games: The Three Dice Game

The three dice game also has two other names, the “4-5-6” game and also the “see-low” game. The three dice game has an interesting history as it has developed from an ancient Chinese game. While the concept of the game is pretty simple, it can be interesting to play and people all over the world can still enjoy playing this fascinating dice game with an ancient history.

Basics of the Three Dice Game

The three dice game basically evolved from an older Chinese banking game called “strung flowers.” This version of the game can also still be played today. Of course, the game is played using three dice. The people participating in the game will bet against the banker, who does cover all bets taken. The banker will then first roll the three dice.

If he throws three of a kind, meaning, for example, three fours, or three sixes, he will automatically win. He will also automatically win if he rolls any pair and a six. For example if the banker rolls two threes and a six, he will win. Also, if the banker rolls a four, five, and a six, he will win – thus the alternate name of the game.

The Banker

However, the banker will automatically lose if he throws any pair and a one, or if he rolls a one, a two, and a three. If the banker rolls any other combination, though, then the player will have the opportunity to throw the dice.

The player will lose if he rolls a banker’s winning bet, but if he rolls any pair and a number besides a one or a six, the player will automatically win. Or, if the player rolls a point number that is higher than what the banker rolled, the player will win.

The game has an ostensibly easy concept of play, but if it gets fast paced, players should be familiar with what rolls equal wins and what equal loses to clear up any confusion or potential delay. When played correctly, the three dice game can be an exciting addition to the many other dice games that are available to play.
